Scarlet Red Panda

Did you know red pandas don't hibernate?  They need to keep eating to stay healthy.

Scarlet is friends with Silo Sloth, remember him?  This was after an exhausting day full of play and fun in the snow.  

This is an acrylic painting on an 8x10 wood board.  And here is the visual summary:

Underpainting helps tone the colors on top so that they look like they belong together.  I especially like how the green first layer of the tree adds live to the brown 2nd layer.

I was told the final looked spooky, so the way I fixed that problem was to make it a winter scene, do you think it worked?
