What part of this piece draws your eye in?
My eyes like to go to the pop of color in between the lines. 
Painting the background was as fun as drawing the flower's details.  My own challenge for this piece was to weave and fade the flowers in and out.  From far away you notice the big prominent shapes and every step closer reveals so many intricate details.

The flowers also make me think of the crochet doilies my grandma used to make.  Here fused an older technique idea (croche doilies) with a bright and abstract background.  That was fun!
